Changes to the left menu

The left menu now defaults to the icon only form. When you hover over each icon it will expand and overlay the collection details with the text to allow you to select the option. Once the menu option is selected or you move outside of the menu area the overlay will disappear and remain the icon list. Additionally using the pin, you can unpin the menu fully and it will become a single icon in the top left of the display. Any issues that already have their status set are displayed with a grayed-out background so that it is easier to see which issues still require action.

In addition to counting no-translate segments as worked and not needing to be worked, now CTE also treats all pre-translated 100% matches as worked. Now a CTE user can insert a tag from the source segment to the target segment by using the Insert Tag by ID feature. You can view tag IDs in the segment editor with the Show minimal segment tags [Ctrl+F3] or Show full + id segment tags [Ctrl+F1]. To copy a tag into a target segment, just press [Alt+<tag id>].

The screen captures below illustrate how you insert paired and unpaired (single) tags by pressing, [Alt+<tag id>]

Release 2.26 (May 2018)

New Features

Segment targets are no longer auto-filled with machine translation matches

In previous releases, the target of an untranslated segment was auto-filled with a machine translation match when it was the best match available.

A user can still manually insert an MT match in the target field by selecting Insert TM Match or pressing Alt+PageUp.

Collection statistics data is now based on availability of data obtained from TW analysis

CTE collection statistics now displays data which is obtained from TW analysis. The count of translatable words generally matches the count displayed in the TMS task details.

Note, however, that CTE includes words from (untranslated) locked segments while calculating total words. This may result in a discrepancy between TMS and CTE total word count whenever a collection contains locked segments.

Now large segments have vertical scrollbars in the segment editor

.

Now all Tools menu commands have keyboard shortcuts

A Do not show this again option is now available in the LTB Ignore All confirmation dialog

You can now choose the Do not show this again option to prevent the Ignore All confirmation dialog appearing repeatedly while doing Ignore All for LTB issues.

Release 2.25 (April 2018)

New Features

Display of inline tags with ‘disp’ attribute was changed

If inline tags have a ‘disp’ attribute which indicates how they should be displayed, the CTE user interface now displays the ‘disp’ attribute value instead of displaying the tag content. This matches how the XLIFF Editor handles tags with an ‘equiv-text’ attribute in XLIFF 1.2.

For example, internal tags in files from WorldServer contain only a numeric placeholder in curly braces, as shown below. It is not easy to understand the purpose of such tags and how to position them in the target text. Now you can see the tags from the original source content in the CTE.

In earlier releases:

Now:
