Introduction

The Lionbridge Cloud Translation Environment ™ is a web interface which you can use in conjunction with the Translation Workspace server for the translation and review of segment collections.

A collection is the set of segments that forms a translation task. This content can be collected in a number of ways based on the business needs of each project, currently either one file or all of the files in a translation task.

CTE is especially useful when the content to be translated contains tags and placeholders (Markup language). It aids the translator by protecting tags and by allowing only translatable content to be changed

Note: The keyboard shortcuts displayed in the illustrations and in the text are the default hotkeys. You can customize and set those as per your choice as described in detail in the Introduction topic. As a general rule, in MacOS the Cmd/Command key in Apple Keyboards is used instead of the Windows keyboard Control key. So, e.g., the Windows hotkey Ctrl+G is in MacOS (Apple keyboard) Cmd+G.

Supported Browsers

Lionbridge Cloud Translation Environment ™ works best with HTML5 compliant browsers.

Finding Information in the Help System

The help system contains a table of contents (TOC) which is either visible or hidden, depending on the width of the browser window. By default the TOC is displayed on the left pane in a browser window unless the width of the window is below 1060 pixels. The left pane is then hidden and a drawer button is displayed at the upper left corner which you can use to open the TOC pane.

When the table of contents (TOC) pane on the left is hidden you can open the TOC and the Search feature by clicking the drawer button on the upper left corner.

The topics are organized in the TOC for sequential reading. However, the quickest way to find the information you seek might be the Search feature. If you are searching for something that has more than one word—for example "Batch operations" or "context match"—enclose the entire string in quotes. This way only topics containing the entire word sequence will be found, and you are taken to the first instance of the match in the topic, with the word sequence highlighted in yellow. If you do not enclose the word sequence in quotes, the result set will include all topics that contain any of the words. The Search is case-insensitive.

For more details on using the Search feature, see the topic Finding Information in this Help.
