Concordance Search
You can run concordance searches by using the Concordance pane.
You can use existing keyboard shortcuts to launch and Terminology and Concordance search
- Open Terminology pane — [Alt+Down]
- Open Concordance pane— [Alt+Up]
- Navigate to next Concordance Search result — Alt+N
- Navigate to previous Concordance Search result — [Alt+P]
- [Esc] to Close Terminology and Concordance windows
To run a Concordance search, do the following:
- Select a text in a target segment to search for concordances.
- Press [Alt+Up] to open the Concordance pane
- Insert the text string to be searched into the search field
- Press [Enter] or click the search button
- The results are listed in the Concordance search pane docked in the right-side panel.
You can use existing hotkeys to launch Concordance search
- Open Concordance pane— Alt + Up
- Esc to Close (Terminology and) Concordance windows
- Press [Escape] or click [x] to close the pane.
You can select how the search results are sorted or grouped by clicking the filter button next to the search button.
Sorting and Grouping the Results
You can sort the results by their Rank, or group them by TM or by Source.
CTE remembers Concordance Search sort or group setting for the duration of the user’s browser session.
Sort by Rank:
Group = rank (relevance ratio) in descending order.
- Matches inside a group (having same rank) are sorted by premium and penalty (from highest premium to highest penalty).
Group by TM:
Group = TM name sorted by premium and penalty (from highest premium to highest penalty). Matches with same penalty are sorted alphabetically.
- Matches inside a group are sorted by rank.
Group by Source:
Group = source text sorted alphabetically.
- Matches inside a group are sorted by rank.
